EMDI database synchronization is essential when working with different databases or networks.

  • Clients / suppliers are synchronized either one way or two way.
  • Items are only synchronized in one direction.
  • Purchases / sales are only synchronized in one direction.
  • Price lists are only synchronized in one direction.
  • Reminders are only synchronized in one direction.

Multiple databases can be synchronized at the same time. So there are many different ways to use it.
Alternatively the synchronization directions can be set after we have selected the corresponding database in DB / Company and click save in sync.

One-way synchronization

With regard to sales, all the documents of selected funds can only be synchronized in one direction.
The line codes for the funds and the documents contained there must be locally and remotely equivalent.

If for example we synchronize from the remote base to the local then everything we register in the local base, it is deleted from the remote.

Along with the items synchronization also include the price lists, the categories, the subcategories, the units of measure and the VAT categories.
Clients register relations, businesses, professions and cities.

The basis for one-way synchronization is the date of modification (if selected).

Two way synchronization

Caution. For two-way synchronization pay close attention to settings and usage!

As far as customers / suppliers are concerned, a single line code must be assigned to each synchronization potition. This relation will represent the customers / suppliers of the respective location and should be set by default to create a unique code corresponding to the relationship so there is no problem in synchronization.

The basis for two-way client synchronization is the ID of the customer and the modification date (if selected).

Define bases for synchronization

Any databases listed in the DB / Company list can be synchronized.
Local bases are all bases in the list. The remote base that is synchronized with any local is listed in the “Remote Base” column.

In the “Remote Base” column we write the “Title” of the local database we want to synchronize.

If you set “Remote Base” to multiple bases then the synchronization is done from top to bottom in all.

Availability synchronization

In order to synchronize the availability field and not to recalculate it then we do not select sales synchronization and check availability. If sales synchronization time is selected then availability is recalculated.
