When attempting to set up a POP email account in an older version of Epsilon’s accounting software, there is a possibility that the email account cannot be set up due to a newer SSL certificate issued by the hosting provider where the email address is hosted.

The solution is to issue an SSL certificate of the older RSA 2048 type, which can be read correctly even by older applications.

Once we have issued the new certificate with the above specifications, we can then configure the email as POP in the settings of the Epsilon accounting programme, using port 465 and SSL encryption.
