Phase B of the Digital Delivery Note
Phase B of the Digital Delivery Note becomes mandatory from May 1, 2026 and completely changes the way businesses move their inventory.
Every movement is now connected to the myDATA platform and the IAPR, creating a fully digital environment for control and monitoring.
What is the Digital Delivery Note
The Digital Delivery Note is the new mandatory document for the movement of inventory, which:
- Is issued before the start of the movement
- Is transmitted in real time to myDATA
- Is accompanied by a unique QR Code
- Is monitored throughout the entire duration of the transport
What changes in practice
With the new process:
- Every shipment has a unique QR Code
- There is real-time tracking (InTransit, Delivered, Completed)
- All involved parties (issuer, carrier, recipient) participate digitally
- A complete movement history is recorded
The movement of inventory is essentially transformed into a digitally controlled system, with full traceability.
Obligations of businesses
Businesses are now required to:
- Issue and transmit the Delivery Note before the transport
- Declare carriers and involved VAT numbers
- Confirm receipt via QR Code
- Manage discrepancies (shortages / surpluses)
Handling errors & special cases
In case of error:
- If the movement has not started → cancellation
- If it has started → new issuance
- Rejection by recipient → RejectDeliveryNote
- Quantity differences → issuance of DPP
Who is affected
The measure applies to:
- Commercial businesses
- Logistics & transport companies
- Industries & warehouses
- Businesses with inventory movement
How EMDI helps
- Automatic issuance of Digital Delivery Notes

The transition to the Digital Delivery Note is not just a legislative change — it is a complete digital transformation of warehouse and logistics operations.
