Here you set up EMDI lines for deductions, tax withholdings, and the digital transaction fee so they upload correctly to myDATA.

Important: from 1/12/2024 stamp duty was replaced by the digital transaction fee (Law 5135/2024). Sending the invoice to myDATA is not the fee declaration/payment — that is done separately in myAADE (AADE – Digital transaction fee).

What is what in myDATA

  • Tax withholding → reduces the payable amount (withheldAmount / taxType 1).
  • Deduction (κράτηση) → deductions (deductionsAmount / taxType 5), usually a negative value in EMDI.
  • Digital transaction fee → a positive amount that is added to the total (stampDutyAmount / taxType 4). myDATA rates: 1.2% / 2.4% / 3.6% (or an amount).

First add the matching zero VAT rates. The line code does not matter.

In many cases the digital transaction fee is sent with VAT category 8 (entries without VAT in myDATA).

Also create a new unit of measure as “additive of other values” so the digital transaction fee is added to the grand total without affecting VAT or the pre-VAT total.

Open Sales and add the deduction / withholding / digital fee lines on the document in the required order. For automatic creation of deductions/withholdings, follow the help here. For the digital transaction fee, follow the steps below (positive value, not negative).

* Create the digital transaction fee in stock with unit additive of other values, the correct digital-fee VAT, and put the rate in the description (e.g. 3.6%). Do not put a minus (−) on the digital transaction fee — it is a positive amount. The minus (−) applies to deductions/withholdings.

Right-click → Underlying value. Before the asterisk * (multiply) you see the underlying value for that line, then the +−% rate. Use a dot (.) as the decimal separator.

In the example: 1st line (Withholding) underlying value 980 €, 2nd (Deduction) 980 €, last (Digital transaction fee) underlying value 0.59 € — that is the base used for that line’s percentage, not necessarily the final fee amount.
