Settings

Settings change how the app works for your company. Open them from the profile menu (usually top right) → Settings.

Change something only if you know what it does. If you are not sure, ask your administrator before saving.

Before you start

  • You need permission to open Settings (your administrator sets this on users).
  • Some sections appear only if they are included in your package (for example e-shop, courier, parking, stock, price lists, custom buttons/fields).
  • After a package change, sign out and sign in again so the menu refreshes.

How to move around

  1. Choose a group from the left menu.
  2. Or type in Search settings… to find sections, fields, and hints.
  3. Open the section you need, change the fields, and click Save.

In tables (lists such as tax offices or VAT rates) you edit rows inside the grid — open a list when you need a new value in a dropdown.

General settings

  • General settings — company details, language, date format, logo.
  • Edit send options — email (SMTP) and SMS so you can send documents and messages.

Customers/Suppliers

  • Customers/Suppliers — defaults for new contacts.
  • Custom buttons (customers) — if included in your package.
  • Lists: Tax offices (DOY), Relations, Cities/Countries, Professions, Vehicles.
  • Optional: Custom fields and Custom field values.

Inventory/Products/Services

  • Inventory/Products/Services — quantity options, barcode, and basic product options.
  • Custom buttons (products) — if included in your package.
  • Lists: Taxes, Measurement units, Categories, Subcategories.
  • Optional: custom fields / field values.

Purchases/Sales

  • Purchases/Sales — customer selection, printing, document defaults, and display.
  • Document line properties — which fields show on each document line.
  • Data & documents design — print forms (when included in your package).
  • Optional: E-shop connection, Courier services, Customer rewards, Payment terminals, Custom buttons (documents).
  • Lists: Documents, Payment methods, Cashiers/Positions, Ship methods, Handling purpose, price lists, and Item ID / barcode recognition.

Revenues/Expenses/Reports

  • Revenues/Expenses/Reports — report options.
  • Tax connections — myDATA / provider (when applicable).
  • myDATA mapping tables (documents, VAT, payment methods, units, handling purpose) — for an experienced user or accountant.

Appointments

  • Appointments — reminder options for the calendar.
  • Appointment types list.

Apps

  • Home shortcuts — tiles on the home page.
  • Stock application links and Parking application links — if included in your package.
  • Document design — custom reports / forms (when applicable).

See also the Apps help page for how to use them.

Usage

  • Usage — debug tools (for example the SQL screen).
  • Rights and Users tables — usually for an administrator only (and when your package supports multiple users).

Tips

  • Some values are read-only on the web because they are managed by the desktop EMDI application.
  • If a section you expect is missing, check your package and the user rights.
  • Do not change tax / myDATA settings without an accountant or support.
